Lunch Review – Kobe Japanese Steak House and Sushi | 209 Randall Rd. Algonquin, IL 60102 | 847.854.9987

Recently, 19 women from Neighborhood 33 joined together for lunch at Kobe’s Japanese Steak House. I asked them to participate in a short review of their outing. Each person was given a form to complete at the conclusion of their visit. The results should be helpful to other Sun City groups or individuals looking for an excellent restaurant for a lunch outing. Here is the form that was used and the results:

Kobe Restaurant Review – On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest, assign a number to each topic.

Food – consider freshness of ingredients, appropriate temperature of food when served, size of portions, and variety of items.

Ratings: Eighteen responded with a “5,” one with a “4.”

Service – Consider length of time to be greeted by a server, server’s knowledge of menu, responsiveness, and friendliness.

Ratings: Eighteen responded with a “5,” one with a “4.”

Value – Consider the cost of the meal versus the quality and quantity.

Ratings: Seventeen responded with a “5,” two with a “4.”

Ambiance – Consider cleanliness of the restaurant (including restrooms), temperature, noise level, seating comfort, and decor.

Ratings: Sixteen responded with a “5,” two with a “4,” one with a “3.5.”

Would you return to this restaurant and recommend it to friends?

Yes or No

All nineteen responded “Yes.” Here are some of their comments:

“Our cook was very entertaining, and the food was hot and delicious.”

“It worked out great for our ladies luncheon.”

“Fabulous.”

“The food was delicious.”

“Most enjoyable and entertaining as well as delicious.”

“I will bring my spouse on Christmas Eve.”

“Great choice. So nice to have something different.”

“Lunch only ($8-9). Dinner is pricey.

Thank you, ladies of Neighborhood 33, for sharing your opinion of Kobe’s. If your group is planning a restaurant event and would like to include your experience in this column, please contact me.
