Restaurant servey results and reader comments, Part I

Note: First, thanks to all the residents that responded to our survey. I must admit that I was amazed and surprised to read some of the responses for a variety of reasons, especially by the large number of restaurants mentioned. Many of the restaurants nominated were new to me or ones that I haven’t reviewed yet. I was especially excited by the many comments and suggestions included by the responders. I will include some of those comments, as they pertain to a specific category. As you read the results, keep in mind that this is a very small sample compared to the number of residents in our readership. Here are the top vote-getters in each category:
