Huntley Community Radio Update: We did it!

By Dorothy Litwin

We did it!

The success of Huntley Community Radio’s Grand Benefit Auction, held Jun 28 at the Cosman Centre, was due to the amazing efforts of many individuals, companies, and organizations led by event Chair Bill Geheren. And thanks to Tom Hall of Huntley Realty for providing a great “ball park” meal for all. Entertainment was donated by everyone’s favorite musical group, Project Two, led by Dylan Ladd. The event raised more than $8,000, bringing the station closer to its goal of $40,000. The hope is that Huntley Community Radio will meet this goal by the end of 2014 and begin broadcasting as Station WHRU- 101.5 FM.
