Sun City financial changes require new IDs for residents

By Dwight Esau

Major changes are coming soon in Sun City’s financial operations. Accounting services, which were moved to the First Service Residential (FSR) management company in 2015, will move back to the local offices as of January 1. The newly integrated software solution to realize efficiencies in the local financial operations went “online” on December 1.

This requires that all residents receive new ID cards on a schedule that began on December 5. Residents are scheduled by neighborhood to come to the Fountain View Center atrium and have their pictures taken and receive the new IDs. The schedule for this has been published in the November Lifestyles magazine, page 8. The schedule is also available on the community website, www.sccah.com, and at all of the member services desks in Prairie and Meadow View lodges.

The new financial system is being installed and coordinated by Northstar Global Technologies, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia.

“Please make every effort to come on your scheduled day for your new ID card, and bring your current card with you,” said Deanna Loughran, executive director. “If you do not have a resident ID card, another photo ID may be required to receive a new card.”

At the time the new card is printed, each individual will receive a copy of his or her current information in the community’s records. Residents may take this opportunity to update their information before leaving. The updated information also may be submitted to one of the member services desks in the lodges.

If you cannot attend during your neighborhood’s assigned day(s), other opportunities will be available in January. If you are a snowbird, your new ID card may be issued in the spring, or whenever you return to the community. Cards will be issued on a first come, first served basis, but mornings will be the busiest time.

This new financial project also will include the issuance of coupon books for residents to pay their monthly assessments. Details of this operation were being finalized at press time for this report.
