HUNTLEY – With Library Card Month well under way, your grocery-store savings cards aren’t the only cards in your wallet that offer great deals.
Throughout the month of September, visit participating businesses sponsoring National Library Card Month at the Huntley Area Public Library to receive special discounts and promotions just by showing your library card. A full list of sponsors may be found by stopping by the library, visiting their website at www.huntleylibrary.org, or in the Library Links newsletter.
“Now patrons have the opportunity to use their library card in more ways than checking out books and movies,” said Huntley Area Public Library Communications Assistant, Doug Cataldo. “[Patrons] can bring their card to local businesses and benefit from it.”
Cataldo added that the promotion was also developed to reach out to the community and work together with local businesses.
If you don’t have your library card and are within the Huntley Area Public Library District boundaries, please visit the library with a photo ID and proof of current address to receive your free card. While there, ask for details on the promotions and discounts available.
