Take the bus

HUNTLEY – As people head into their senior years, individual autonomy and mobility may decline but thanks to Grafton Township’s Senior Bus Service, that should stop you from getting around.

Bus service fares range from one dollar to three dollars depending on the destination with no fee for care givers. Destinations include a one way trip within the township and village of Grafton, any intermediate stop, the Huntley Outlet Mall, business’s on Randall road between Ackman, and Binnie RD, as well as the Centegra Hospital in Woodstock. The bus service is available Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Trips to Jewel or Wal-Mart will be on Tuesday and Thursday mornings with the pickup time starting at 9 a.m. All riders are required to schedule a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Prior registration is required. All 10 days for Registration before scheduling your first trip.

Linda Moore, the Grafton Township Supervisor stated that “Over the past several months 68% of the riders were Sun City residents.”

The services bus was showcased in the Memorial Day parade.
