On Saturday, August 13, thirty members of the Sun City Stingray Swim club said “Good Bye” to their coach of two years, Jack Bolger. His Farewell party was held at the house of Lisa Yost. In commemoration of his service to the Stings, Jack received a gift certificate and an engraved standing plaque. Lisa and Joanie Koplos, Co-Social Chairmen, together with Nancy Cihlar and Naomi Greenberg comprised the Social Committee that planned the gala. Thanks are also extended to all attending members who donated outstanding appetizers.
The new coach for the Stings is Chris Hinde. Chris is a familiar face at the Prairie Lodge Swimming Pool where he currently directs the Hydronauts and the Neptunes. All members and “those looking us over” are invited to attend Chris’ Stingrays’ “informative but fun” weekly instruction on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. These sessions will run throughout the year.
