Hang Your Hat: August 9, 2012

Mason, I was disappointed by your column [Thurs, Aug. 2 edition]. I had found Sun Day to be refreshing after the other newspapers I read. Perhaps I overlooked your other opinion pieces, I don’t know. I just wonder why are there so many writers with a liberal bent. I know it’s not all. I digress. To me your article has a liberal slant. You equate an advertisement by Keebler with an allegation made against Chick-Fil-A.

Was said Muslim pro-gay? Seems that was irrelevant. 12 complaints in 24 years, so what. I like your newspaper, I would bet you will have at least 12 complaints in the paper’s first 24 years. You used plaque, perhaps you meant plague? Like in “a plague on their house.”

Perhaps your column should carry a disclaimer, such as with the “political place” article.

Mason,

As long as you’re in such a research mode I suggest you research a liberal company with an equivalent number of employees and see how many times they have been sued for employment discrimination. I’m sure Chick Fil-A has more employees than the U.S. house or senate and likely less claims. As usual, it’s the biased liberal media distorting the story.

Mason – enjoy your writing style !

The timeless “follow the money” quote may have been said by Nicholson in a movie; however, it originated during Watergate (1972-74) and was said by Deep Throat (FBI agent – Mark Felt), who said it to Bob Woodward(Washington Post) to point him toward Nixon operatives.
