These drugs are used to lower cholesterol, but in that process, they have been linked to over 300 different side effects. These include muscle pain and weakness, increased cancer risk, immune system suppression, and decreased liver function, according to Dr. Joseph Mercola.
Few people realize that your total cholesterol is not a great indicator of heart disease risk. You may be told by your doctor that your cholesterol is high, but your levels may be normal for you.

Leading causes of death in the U.S. based on 2010 date lists released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:

1. Heart disease

2. Cancer

3. Chronic lower respiratory disease

4. Cerebrovascular disease/stroke

5. Accidents (unintentional injuries)

6. Alzheimer’s

7. Diabetes

8. Kidney disease

9. Influenza and pneumonia

  1. Suicide

However, there is one leading cause of death that was left off the list, that of conventional medical care which should be #1.
