The information below was compiled through personal study and the book “Coconut Cures” by Dr. Bruce Fife:

• Helps you lose or maintain weight
• Increases metabolism and promotes healthy thyroid function
• Rejuvenates the skin and prevents wrinkles and dry skin
• Support for concentration, memory, and learning disabilities
• Makes for healthy brain and nervous system, mood support,
and benefits neurological diseases, such as Parkinsons and Alzheimer’s
• Normal blood sugar levels (keeping from diabetes and hypoglycemia)
• Makes for a healthy liver
• Fights signs of aging (giving a more youthful appearance)
• Healthy joints, proper bone development, and prevention of osteoporosis

Many people drink loads of pasteurized milk, swallow calcium supplements, take drugs, such as Fosamax, which damage the bones, yet still suffer from osteoporosis. For calcium to be effectively incorporated into the bones, 50 percent or more of the fats need to be saturated. This is also true of the fat soluble vitamins, A, E, D and K so vital to bone health. You can eat all of the green and yellow vegetables that contain them, but the nutrients can’t get into the bones without saturated fats.

Please notice the new food pyramid at choosemyplate.gov. The plate is divided into four parts (vegetables, fruits, grains and protein.) There is no fat on the pyramid. The former pyramid at mypyramid.gov has only a minute sliver for fat, which is always vegetable oil. Any wonder America is in such great trouble with all of the degenerative disease?
