Lost dog: Please help us find Gibs

By My Sunday News

Gibs 2

Gibs is a 15 lb, wire-haired terrier mix who is mostly white with-tan-and black spots. He was adopted out from Animal House Shelter in Huntley on Monday, April 21 and ran from his adopters’ home, located near the intersection of Sun City Blvd and Countryside Blvd in Del Webb, on that day around 4 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. and again at 11 p.m. that same night he was spotted running down the side walk of Redmond Rd with his collar and red leash still attached. There were a few other sightings over the next few days, however none that had any details on the location, until a couple days ago.

On April 28, AHS received a phone call that Gibs had been spotted in neighborhood 10 of Sun City, near the 14th and 15th hole of the golf course.

He was still wearing his red leash. One of the volunteers helping to look for Gibs has taken her tracking dog out as well, who seems to be very interested in that same spot! A woman called the shelter at about 11 a.m. on Sunday May 4 to let us know that she saw a small Shi tzu-looking dog near the intersection of Del Web blvd and Country View Blvd (near where he was lost). He ran down Dixon Springs Lane (west of Country View Blvd), turned the corner, and ran down Wedgemere Drive. She said that the dog she saw is not wearing a leash or collar but is brown and white in color. We hope it is him!!!! So please call the shelter with any and all information as to where Gibs may be and lets bring him home safe!
