What? Huntley has a radio station?
Are you kidding me? Where? Nobody told me! How can I listen?
Weāre surprised that there are people who donāt know we exist. In spite of our columns in the Sun Day newspaper, our ads in the monthly Lifestyle magazine-in spite of our appearances at the Fall Fest and other eventsā¦believe it or not, there are still a lot of people who are surprised and still ask these questions.
Well, Huntley Community Radioās board and friends are going to try to change that. Weāre going to do our best to stop being invisible. Starting with the Memorial Day parade, weāre going to have a float. And weāre going to make the Fourth of July even more special. All of you who park at Jewel and other places to watch the fireworks, weāre going to ask everyone to tune their FM dials to 101.5, as we play great patriotic music tied into the timing of the fireworks display.
And thatās not all. As more of you have volunteered to help, we plan to be visible at the Farmersā Markets and everywhere people can meet us, our program hosts and the gang who make WHRU real.
So look for us at the parade, the Fireworks and everywhere else.
Did you know that Paulette Ruskās show āTable Talkā has returned with all new subjects. Her May show will feature poultry and is entitled āPoultry: More than Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts.ā So tune to 101.5 FM every Saturday at 12:30 p.m. for Pauletteās show.
And donāt miss any of our great shows. Hereās an ideaāturn your radio on in the morning and keep it on all day. Youāll be glad you did.
