All residents, their families and friends as well as the general public are cordially invited to our Fall Open House on Sunday, September 20, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The event will be held in the rear yard and basement of the Millgrove Woodshop, 13400 Sun City Blvd. Huntley IL, 60142. Many long time visitors have made the Fall Open house a final tribute to the summer season, one last goodbye to the outdoor fun. And, while you might be familiar with the soccer game in the park on the Garden Scale layout, did you notice the eagles watching the game in the trees? Or on the N scale layout, you may have seen the wedding on the pier of the lake but do you know the story of that wedding? Or maybe you’ve witnessed the thunderstorm on the mountain but did you see the pack mules going to the gold mine? So, before the snow flies and we turn our outdoor layout over to the squirrels and chipmunks, stop by and check us out.
As we move our events indoors, our patrons are reminded that our annual Holiday Display will open one week earlier then normal on Saturday November 21, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, in the Prairie Lodge Social Lounge. The event will run through Sunday, December 27. This year’s train raffle will be a New York Central passenger train (Lionel O gauge). We will be raffling off three train sets on Wednesday, December 23.
