The Stingrays Swim Club participated in their annual Six County Senior Swim Meet on Thursday, July 19, at Addison Park District’s indoor swim pool. Through the years, our powerhouse Sun City team, led by Coach Len Lencioni, has consistently earned a record number of medals. The meet’s program yearly includes the following seven events: The 100 yard Freestyle, 50 yard Backstroke, 50 yard Breaststroke, 100 Yard IM (25 yard Butterfly, 25 yard Backstroke, 25 yard Breaststroke, and 25 yard Freestyle), 50 yard Freestyle, 50 yard Butterfly, and 200 yard Freestyle.
Note: One length of the Prairie Lodge indoor pool and Meadowview’s outdoor pool consists of 25 yards; two lengths of the same pools consist of 50 yards or 1 lap.
2018: Indicated below (by age group) are this year’s highly successful results! Fifteen swimmers earned a total of 57 medals: 36 Golds, 12 Silvers, and 9 Bronzes with 7 known Honorable Mention races. Congratulations, Stingrays!
