While the present threat to our health and well-being is serious and needs to be taken with the utmost care, caution, and regard, our entire economic system is under the greatest strain any of us have seen in our lifetimes, which poses a very serious threat in itself to us all. Just like we need to heed our orders of quarantine and social distancing, we all need to do what we can to keep our economy safe and healthy, too. It’s a tough balancing act, for sure, but to the best of your abilities continue your support for our local businesses, both big and small. Most are still open in some fashion and can service your needs to their normal or near-normal extent. At the very least, send some of your favorite establishments a word of assurance and let them know that while you may not be able to frequent them as you’d like, you’re not going anywhere. Your support is needed now more than ever and will NOT go unnoticed by our local businesses, their owners, families, and all the people behind them.
