M&T of Neighborhood 26 asks: “We moved here in August and love the summer and fall plantings around the entrance to Sun City from Rt.47, together with those around the lodge. Will Sun City be putting up a Christmas tree? If so, where will it be and will it be lit?”
Answer: Welcome to the neighborhood! The short answer to your question is no, Sun City does not have a Christmas tree; however, over the next month, holiday decorations will be in abundance all around Sun City.
Our facilities team, FS Residential, has already begun testing the lights on the trees located in the parking lot of the Lodge. Soon after Thanksgiving Day, these trees will be aglow with lights, and they are always wonderful to see. Additionally, by the end of November, the Garden Club will once again be decorating indoor Christmas trees throughout the Lodge. Each of the club’s “buddy groups” will decorate a tree with its personalized theme.
The Model Train Club will be joining in the holiday spirit with their bigger-than-ever model train garden in the Social Lounge area near the CAM desk. Check the E-blast for dates and times of when the trains will be running.
Finally, be sure to check out the outdoor photo opportunity at the entranceway of the Lodge, near the CAM desk entrance. Once again, a seasonal backdrop and holiday decorations will provide the perfect setting for a photo.
