Softball Club pitches in for Food Pantry

By

SUN CITY – Sun City Softball Club members braved the cold and a little snow to assist the Grafton Food Pantry in Huntley’s supplies.

The fundraiser took place Dec. 3 at Veterans Memorial Field. Softball Club members pictured above (L to R) Rob Bostrom, Mark Lang and Bill Klingler.

“We raised $2,306 – we would like to thank all who donated, they were very generous,” Klinger said.

A total of four carloads of supplies were taken to the Grafton Food Pantry.

“The donations of every dollar leads to $8 of food supplied by the Northern Illinois Food Bank. In addition to dollars, the Grafton Food Pantry needs tissue paper (Kleenex); paper towels and toilet paper as well as consumable products. With all that is happening across our country, the need for food and consumable supplies is at a very high level and requires the help from those who are able to donate,” according to the Sun City Softball Club flier.
