To all my liberal, progressive, Democrat, socialist friends out there:
When you call ICE the “Gestapo,” Hitler’s secret police responsible for the death of six million Jews and millions more, understand exactly what you’re saying.
ICE did not magically appear under Donald Trump. ICE existed, operated, and was fully empowered under Barack Obama … your guy.
In fact, Barack Obama personally honored Executive Ice Director Tom Homan in 2015 with the Presidential Rank Award for his leadership of ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations.
Now let’s be clear. The Gestapo was led by Heinrich Himmler, one of the most evil figures in human history.
So if ICE were truly the Gestapo, and Tom Homan is the leader, then by your own logic, you’re claiming that Barack Obama placed the Presidential Rank Award on the equivalent of Heinrich Himmler, praising him for his work.
Is that really the argument you want to make?
Because if it is, then your outrage isn’t about justice, morality, or history. It’s about political convenience.
• You didn’t protest ICE when Obama deported millions.
• You didn’t riot when ICE enforced federal law under Democrats.
• You only started screaming “Gestapo” when enforcement stopped being politically useful to you.
ICE agents are highly trained federal law enforcement officers. They enforce laws passed by Congress, signed by presidents of both parties, and upheld by the U.S. Constitution.
Calling them Nazis isn’t brave.
It isn’t informed. And it sure as hell isn’t patriotic.
If you truly believe ICE is the Gestapo, then own the full implication. You’re condemning Barack Obama, his administration, and every Democrat who funded, staffed, and praised ICE for years.
Otherwise, drop the lie!!

Enough is enough! Another peaceful protester is killed. This time shot 10 times while exercising his First and Second Amendment rights. Then again, our president and his supporters lie in its support.
In a January 26, 2026 opinion piece in the National Catholic Reporter, John Grosso (Digital Editor) reminded his readers, “In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus famously proclaimed, ‘No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other.’”
Mr. Grosso went on to share comments made by Vice President J.D. Vance, Matt Walsh, Fr. James Altman and other prominent Catholic MAGA supporters concerning this killing. Such as; Alex Pretti (the victim) was an assassin, that protestors are violent insurrectionists, and calling for NO MORE MERCY. Grosso reflected that they “had the opportunity to call for peace and unity — to lower the temperature of the situation and express empathy with those suffering and mourning. Vance, fresh off a speech at the March for Life, could have leaned into his supposed pro-life beliefs and called for respect for human life at every stage. In fact, that would have been the Catholic response — that’s how the bishops themselves responded in their statement.”
Grosso went on to share his belief that those Catholics have made their choice to reject Jesus. Then he left this for his readers: “It is time for Catholics to choose who our master is. Do we serve Donald Trump? Or do we serve Jesus? Only one of them leads to salvation. We should choose wisely.
I choose life, I choose Jesus. Enough is enough!

Wouldn’t it be a change if our president would concentrate on what the American people care about? It is not any of the following –
-Invading countries like Venezuela and Greenland to get their oil and minerals
-Ridding our country of minorities that we consider a threat when 73% of people think immigration is a good thing.
-Smashing car widows and beating up people in Minneapolis if they are of a race we consider a threat.
-Shooting a housewife to death for trying to warn her neighbors of 3000 untrained ICE agents invading her city and then refusing to allow an investigation.
Previously the president had a high approval rating for his immigration policies but that has dropped to 37% according to the You-Gov poll as the wild behavior of ICE agents plays out in the media.
We were told the president would bring prices down and instead he instituted tariffs that have raised prices. When asked about prices he insists it is a hoax created by his critics.
Trump ran on an agenda of mass deportations, providing tax cuts for the rich and protecting entitlement programs. The big beautiful bill did provide tax cuts for a few at the cost of slashing Medicaid and healthcare insurance for the masses. The Medicaid reduction also impacted
1.2 million children.
By some estimates it will take 9 more years of deportations to remove 13 million immigrants at a huge cost. Are the immigrants that big of a problem?
The Congress is afraid to act to help with the issues above. We will get to vote in the Fall to replace those in our way.

What a mess!!!
The personal choice of many is when, if ever, is a good time to disregard authority. I, for one, was taught by my parents that when an authority figure directs you to do something, you may silently question them, but you do what was communicated. As I would to a teacher, a parent, a police officer, or any other form of authority, I would comply. If I believed I was wronged, I have numerous avenues of recourse. The vast majority of the time, the most prudent course of action is to obey the directives given; if you consider them illegal or simply wrong, there is a built-in recourse. That may be stating your displeasure to a superior or to a judge, or in the form of a civil lawsuit. But it is unwise to take physical action while development is underway.
Now we come to ICE and their actions involving their making arrests of those they consider illegal immigrants in the United States. This is more complicated because of the actors involved. Many are concerned citizens, albeit many are paid activists simply there to cause unrest and turmoil.
If one could sit back and pragmatically review the situation, then list the facts, pros, and cons, they could probably see the reasoning for the Federal Agents doing what they do.
These agents do not want to enter neighborhoods to pursue wanted criminals. They would much rather be notified by county sheriffs and local police departments when a targeted subject is arrested by local authorities or is being released by the sheriff’s office after being detained for a separate matter. But sanctuary cities and their governing administrations made this relatively painless process impossible.
The current political atmosphere forces federal agents to enter domestic neighborhoods and seek persons wanted for heinous crimes. Many good law-abiding immigrants who simply fall into the way are arrested, and that in turn causes bedlam.
The facts are simple to the rational thinker. Numerous illegal immigrants who entered this country within the past few years were not vetted, nor were basic criminal background checks completed, which allowed some very dangerous and vicious individuals into this country. If local authorities cooperated with federal agents, the majority of this upheaval would not exist. Sex offenders and murderers would be arrested and deported, while the decent, hard-working illegal immigrants would be ignored: hopefully, to apply for legal status at a later date. Maybe then, Congress will do its job and enact a plan to help these would-be citizens become productive residents.
I’m old, and hopefully wiser than I was fifty years ago. I’ve learned many things in my life. Leave the professionals do their job. I don’t argue with my plumber or my mechanic. The information you first hear about an incident is usually wrong. There’s a time and place to disagree; choose it wisely. Don’t bump heads with law enforcement; they are right 99 percent of the time. Listen to the pros, ignore the politicians. If you don’t agree with something, work the system to change it. Finally, do your research before you say or do something foolish.
Lastly, what is difficult for me to understand is why a small elite group of very wealthy individuals is funding the anarchists to impede the work of our immigration agents. This occurred often amid unrest in major cities across the U.S in the last century.

Well friends, if you are like me and my husband and are mail-in voters it is time to think about the process. Remember when Trump made Louis DeJoy postmaster to destroy our trusted postal system in 2020? He came from a competitor of the USPS. He worked until he resigned in March of 2025. The process has now changed.
Previously mail was postmarked on the day you mailed it. NO LONGER. The postmark will be the day it is processed, which can be a minimum of one to two days delayed. No matter which county you live in, this is what you have to know.
Your ballots must be postmarked by Election Day to be counted, and since you can no longer count on the post office post marking your ballots you have to follow a new procedure if you are returning your ballots within a week of the election March 17.
1 – Go to the post office counter and request a manual postmark. Mail it at the post office. Or, 2 – Use a secured county drop box, noted below. Or, 3 – Deliver your ballot directly to your election authority’s office (call for hours.)
Kane County: Bldg. B – 719 S. Batavia Ave., Geneva, IL 60143 630232-5950
McHenry County: McHenry County Clerk, 667 Ware Rd., Drop Box., Woodstock, IL 60098 Or, the McHenry County Clerk’s Office at 667 Ware Rd, Unit 107, Woodstock, IL 60098. 815-334-4000
Make sure your vote counts!

Mr. Miller, just how should a “super power” act?
What’s the difference between Trump wanting Greenland and Putin Ukraine?
Didn’t Hirohito, Hitler & Stalin take territory by military force for its own “benefit”?
Is it really okay to steal oil from one country and sell it to another?
“Flooding a zone” was a basketball tactic, now it’s a way to distract from the truth!
Healthcare is boring – to those who have little compassion. How cold can a person’s heart be to freeze $10 billion in federal funding for child care assistance, low income and social service funds in Illinois and four other Democrat-led states on a hunch, or is it revenge?
Don’t you wish Republicans had a spine and a heart?

Mr. Parker, are you aware that the drug traffic from Venezuela is not fentanyl, but mostly cocaine and it is going to locations other than the USA? Are you aware that the rhetoric about grabbing the President of Venezuela was about drug traffic but in the end, it turns out that it was to get their oil? Trump has sold the oil and deposited the proceeds in a bank in Cutter under names we have yet to uncover. This, after spending our tax dollars on the army’s extraction of Maduro. Have you noticed that his Dept. of Defense no longer is killing boats of people off the coast of Venezuela?
Congress has not declared war since 1941. In the past presidents have run military operations without getting congressional approval, which is unfortunate and we should tighten those restrictions. However, no other president has been so blind to our laws and unadhered to our constitution. He is blatantly grifting money for himself and his family; controlling, to his desires, the DOJ, FBI, Homeland Security, and the other agencies that run our government. At least those agencies that were left after DOGE rampaged through them with an obvious focus on destroying them or sucking information out of them.
You are correct, Trump has not changed. He lied to those who would believe in him, but he has not changed. The public has changed, however. They are growing in numbers and banding together: Independents, Democrats, newly registered voters, and former Trump followers. He is losing on immigration, the economy, the jobs, and his reputation as a transparent leader who is covering up the Epstein issue, and recently the murder by an ICE agent of a mother in Minnesota. That Mr. Parker is not America First. That is a disaster to be fixed.
