I’d like to give a shoutout to my friend here in Sun City, Joan Bunker. I answered my front door on my birthday to find her with her arms outstretched holding a homemade chocolate layer cake. She said, “Moms make the cakes, but never get the cake.” It was delicious and a very nice surprise. And that kind gesture wasn’t the end! Two weeks later after I had extensive dental surgery, I open the door to find those same two outstretched arms holding a bag with dinner in it of pureed soup and other “soft” goodies! I am blessed to call her friend. TY Jo!
