The Sun City Softball League is preparing for the annual all-star game.
This year’s game will take place at 5:30 p.m., Friday, July 24 at Veterans Memorial Field. Players vote for teammates to participate.
“It should be a great game to come out and watch,” Sun City Softball League President Chuck Hund said.
Standings through July 2 games in the 16-inch evening league had the Mustangs off to a solid start with a 10-0 record and 104 runs. The Lumbar Jacks were in second place, 7-1, 92 runs scored. Also, the Travelers were 6-3; Adjusters, 5-4; Monarchs, 2-6; Coyotes and Capitals, 2-7 and the Hurricanes were 1-7.
The Mobilizers, meanwhile, led the Wednesday 12-inch evening league, 3-0 while the Molars were 2-2 and the Centurions 0-3.
For the Thursday 16-inch morning league, the Bucket Listers led with a 5-0 mark, while Sluggers were 1-3 and Money Bags 0-3.
