Old’s Cool prepares to stomp the stage with Monster Mash

By My Sunday News

This Sunday, October 25, from 1-4 p.m. (before the little monsters haunt your Sun City doorstep howling for treats) you can do a bit of your own howling at Huntley’s Pub 47 “Halloween Monster Mash.”

The festive event will feature music by Sun City’s favorite rock ‘n rollers, Old’s Cool, in their final appearance this year. The classic rock band will play several spooky tunes along with their old-school selection of vintage songs from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Meanwhile, Pub 47’s chef will serve up the treats in a Halloween-themed menu.

Costumes are encouraged, with prizes offered for the best outfits. And because the Chicago Bears will be out of costume on their bye-week this Sunday, there’s no excuse for missing the fun.

And if your little grand-monsters are in town for the candy-grab later on Sunday afternoon (Sun City’s official trick-or-treat day), this is your chance to treat them to a rollicking fun-filled lunch at Pub 47, Huntley’s favorite new family-friendly eatery, where you can teach them to dance to the tunes you rocked to when you were their age.

Old’s Cool will let their amps fall quiet for at least six months after the show, as some of the band’s members are snowbirds who will be winging to warmer climes for the winter.

But that’s a concern for another time, because at Pub 47 this Sunday the party will just be getting started.
