Bytnar letter may have played role in Rutland election results

About a decade ago, Steve Bytnar led an effort to form the Property Tax Action Group (PTAG) as a watchdog and educational group in the Sun City area. It was devoted to monitoring property tax assessments on Sun City homes and educating residents about how the state’s property tax system works.

Jean and Paul Souchek were married on March 29, 1947 (Joan 18, Paul 22) at Norwood Heights Evangelical Free Church in Norwood Heights, Illinois. Their 70th wedding anniversary party was on April 1 in Drendel Hall.

Art in My Secret Garden colors this May

After seven years, it’s time to get ‘funner’

You may have noticed something different about the Sun Day this edition. It has a new and refreshing look to celebrate its seventh anniversary! But like “new” and “refreshing” things, it’s actually, in many ways, a throwback to the Sun Day’s original design. Maybe not exactly a throwback to the original design but definitely a throwback to the original idea, which I’ve never put into effect.

Let’s start with the animals. Yes, this is a story about a real zoo and for the first ten minutes or so we are treated to some delightful moments with the various wildlife, and their interactions with the zookeeper’s wife and family. These are peaceful, enjoyable moments, and at times fascinating as the animals relate to their habitat and their various keepers. Unfortunately the zoo is located in Warsaw, Poland, and the year is 1939.
