We have a new crab tree in our yard. The crisp, bright white flowers have brought me immense joy the past few days. Instead of looking down onto the floor that needs to be swept, I look out of the kitchen window and smile.

I’m asking where to find pet resistant screen to repair my patio screen door because my puppy has jumped on it and made holes in the screening. The door is 8 feet tall and I have had a problem in searching for the screen.

A eulogy for Sue Iwinski

I am my mother’s caregiver and up until recently things have been going well. She has dementia. Recently, I have been unable to sleep through the night because she gets up and wanders throughout the house.

Time sure flies, the Sun Day turns 6

There’s the saying “Time flies when you’re having fun?” Well, in my opinion, time just flies. Somebody mentions 2005 to me, and I think, Oh yeah, last year. Somebody mentions the movie Jerry McGuire was released 20 years ago, and I say, “No it didn’t. Come on. Couldn’t be more than five years ago.” If somebody asks me how old I am, I say, “I don’t know. I’m not 30 but I’m not 40, so somewhere between there?”

A community comes together for a great cause

More children in the United States die of childhood cancer than AIDS, asthma, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies, and diabetes combined. Also, more than 175,000 kids are diagnosed each year. These numbers are staggering and sad at the same time. In Huntley, a very special young lady’s parents decided to help do something about it.
