At the end of my junior year in high school, my parents moved us from Elmwood Park to Franklin Park. And so, on a Monday afternoon in early May, I suddenly found myself sitting in a classroom in West Leyden High School, having started the day at Elmwood Park High School, clearing out my locker.

In our last article, we mentioned we tried unsuccessfully to get into a new restaurant, even though it was 5:30 on a Wednesday night. On Tuesday, April 20 McHenry County Board Chairman Mike Buehler, gave his first ever State of the County Address. The Prairie Lodge at Sun City has been used as a polling place since the early 2000’s. In accordance with the community’s governing documents signage and electioneering had always been prohibited onsite.
If you’ve done any traveling in your life, you see that folks do things differently in other lands.
