Charter Club Crawl returns with bigger space for Cinco de Mayo

By

Following a massively successful event last year, the annual Charter Club Crawl is returning, promising to be bigger, better, and more festive than ever before. Scheduled for April 28, from 4-6 p.m., this year’s event is embracing a lively Cinco de Mayo theme, offering residents the perfect opportunity to socialize, enjoy themed treats, and discover the diverse Charter Clubs available in Sun City.

Organizers have listened to feedback from last year’s packed house and are re-arranging the space to ensure more room for everyone to move, mingle, and meet new neighbors.

Amy Senacki, Charter Club Presidents Council (CCPC) said, “We had so much fun last year, and we are expecting an even greater time this year. We are rearranging the space, so we should have more room for everyone.”

The event brings the spirit of Cinco de Mayo to life with a specially-featured margarita bar and a selection of Mexican beers. Residents looking to start the celebrations early can also enjoy special Cinco de Mayo menus for lunch and dinner at Jameson’s Charhouse on the day of the event.

While the primary goal is fun and community connection, the Club Crawl is also giving back. Attendees can participate in a 50/50 raffle, with half of the proceeds benefiting two local pillars:

Grafton Food Pantry and Animal House Shelter.

The other half goes to one lucky resident. Beyond the 50/50, additional raffles will be held throughout the evening, including chances to win Jameson’s gift cards and rounds of golf. Winners do not need to be present to win but must pick up their prizes within 10 days of the Club Crawl.

This event is open to all residents. No pre-registration is required. Simply show up, have fun, enjoy the refreshments, and learn more about the diverse Charter Clubs that make the Sun City community special.

Ben Manibog, President of CCPC, said, “With many thanks to the Club Crawl subcommittee; Pam White, President of Pickleball, Amy Sanecki, President of Birdwatching, Linda Benigno, President of Celtic, Lynne Shkolnik, President of Mexican Train Dominoes, and Jon Kipp, President of Bocce. We look forward to providing our Sun City residents with an opportunity to interact with one another in the festive atmosphere that a Cinco de Mayo theme provides, and to find a Club or two to join in the process.”
