The Sunflower Garden Club of Sun City Huntley is hosting their 8th Annual Holiday House Walk for Charity

The 8th ANNUAL HOLIDAY HOUSE WALK FOR CHARITY will take place on Thursday, December 14 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Ticket cost is $10 per person and will include entrance to six beautifully decorated homes and a dessert reception at Fountain View on the day of the walk. New this year is a Raffle with dozens of prizes to be won. House Walk Tickets purchased by December 1st will receive one (1) free raffle ticket.

Hoofers and Hunks annual show

The Hoofers and Hunks are excited to tap their feet to some great music when they perform in their 15th Annual Show Sunday, September 24 at 2:30 PM and Monday, September 25 at 7 p.m. Both shows will be at Sun City’s Prairie Lodge in Drendel Ballroom. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.

Survivors thrive in stride

They’ve been walking for cancer for 15 years. The first event was in 2002, the year that Rosemary Clooney’s lung cancer ended her life at age 74. She sang beloved classics like “You Make Me Feel So Young” and “I’ll Be Seeing You.” Members of the Breast Cancer Support Group of Sun City (BCSG) are missing friends who’ve passed too soon. That’s why they began walking.

National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign started 34 years ago by National Association of Town Watch (NATW) that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

Grafton Food Pantry is in need of volunteers for Saturday, May 13, from 1-4 p.m. at the Huntley Park District to help sort and box food collected in the United States Post Service 25th Annual Stamp Out Hunger effort….Making a Difference “One Bag at a Time.” 

Sun City Model Railroad Club open house

The Sun City Model Train Club will be hosting its annual Spring Open House on Sunday May 21, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The G scale members (Garden Scale) are in the final stages of taking back their layout from the squirrels and chipmunks and making final repairs to their buildings and structures.

Art in My Secret Garden colors this May

Art in My Secret Garden’s eighth annual event will be hosted by the Pencil & Palette Club of Sun City on May 20 and May 21 from 12-4 p.m. at the Gardens of Woodstock. The Gardens of Woodstock is located at 5211 Swanson Road near the Rt. 47 and Rt. 176W intersection in Lakewood.
