In the last issue, I gave you the two most common causes of water accumulating in the tub of your dishwasher along with the fix for each. The first was the deterioration of the neoprene poppet on the end of the piston that diverts the flow of water to the pump. The second was a clogged drain hose. In this issue, I will explain the third possible cause: an inoperative float switch.
My mother started having anxiety and had to be hospitalized for this. She is 82 and I have noticed she is not “herself” since the anxiety surfaced in her life.

Several weeks ago, I told you what an idiot I was when it came to the stupid things that leaped from my mouth when I met celebrities like Meadowlark Lemon and James Brown. It was a simple bumbler’s confession, and I thought that would be the end of it.
For several hours a week, I work at the Huntley Library re-shelving items. During this process, opportunity presents itself for me to peruse materials I’d not see while looking on my own. Very often I say to myself, oh, that looks interesting … and then I keep it or jot down the info. I’ll share some with you that pique my interest.

As everyone knows, Huntley is growing by leaps and bounds. A census is currently being conducted where we are expected to go over the 25,000 mark. That is hard to believe when you consider Huntley had just over 5,700 people in 2000. The recent roadway improvements to route 47, including the 90 interchange has opened even more doors to business and additional home construction.
My dishwasher is not getting the dishes very clean and there is about two inches of water in the bottom of the tub. Can this be fixed or do I need a new dishwasher?

Every one of them came back. They left such a great legacy of service that Ellison and a group of friends decided to play a major role in recognizing them, and so many others like them, including those who did not came back.

No doubt you’ve heard the quote: “Move it or lose it.” Mayo Clinic, in their 2015 book on Healthy Aging, reveals the following startling facts: “Many of your basic bodily functions start to decline at a rate of about 1 to 2 percent a year after age 30.
If you ask any native, every day in California is sunny, even in the rain or the smog. Relatives beckoned and we said, yes, we will visit, but we will also spend time sightseeing, visiting Napa and Sonoma, and enjoying the spectacular views from Hwy 1.
There are two ways a municipality in Illinois can become a home rule community – by referendum among its residents, or automatically when its population reaches at least 25,000. If a town goes the population route, it has to prove that its population is above 25,000 using precise numbers. That means banging on doors and counting heads.
