It’s that time of year. There is no longer a need to be stuck inside because of the weather. The sun is shining, the grass is bright green, and the flowers are in bloom. It’s time to grab your sunglasses and head outside.
These days, it seems as if there is always some new technology coming out. Today, there are no longer just landline phones and desktop computers. We now have laptops, tablets, smart phones, and that is just the start.
The tradition of tap dancing has strong roots linked with the coming of blues and jazz music nearing the 20th century. While starting off as a natural tap to the beat, it ended up being a rhythm dance allowing the dancers to create music with their feet.
Marisa Buchheit, Miss Chicago 2012, and recently crowned Miss Heart of Illinois, has an upcoming performance on Tuesday, April 30 at Sun City’s Drendel Ballroom.
