Writing a novel is difficult. From conception to putting pen on paper to proofreading, the whole process is daunting. But imagine writing five novels. Especially two in roughly the same time period. That’s what Kym Brunner did, and both are expected to hit bookshelves in the coming months.
“Thank you for meeting with me again. This shouldn’t take too long,” Ian said. I knew not to get my hopes up. After all, this was the umpteenth time I had interviewed for a job, and what I assumed would’ve been another job interview that led to either being turned away from the job or never hearing from the company again.
If the Sun City musical group the Sun-Tones doesn’t ring a bell, their voices certainly do. The a cappella ensemble has been entertaining audiences at small events and local venues for nearly ten years, bringing barbershop back in vogue.

Between 7:05 and 8:15 a.m. is one of my favorite times of the day in our home. At 7:06 after my daughters have rushed straight from the bathroom to the bus, I gently wake up my son and say “Good Morning.” He gets up and begins his morning routine while I begin mine.
Q. This winter has been very hard on me, keeping me indoors. I am more than ready to get out and garden now. I’m a little concerned on how to tackle this after being so sedentary all winter.
Two new releases hit the suburban theatres last Thursday, just in time for this week’s column. One of them was Million Dollar Arm, the other was Godzilla. A no brainer right? Well, I’m not sure.
