Jean and Paul Souchek were married on March 29, 1947 (Joan 18, Paul 22) at Norwood Heights Evangelical Free Church in Norwood Heights, Illinois. Their 70th wedding anniversary party was on April 1 in Drendel Hall.

This Honor Flight was one of the most emotional events in my life. It was well-organized from beginning to end. All the volunteers were top notch. They took time off work to make sure we had a great flight. I did have a great flight due to these heroes. I do appreciate and thank them all.

In the years 2013 and 2014, Neighborhood 32 resident Nick Koplos successfully completed his running races (male 74 to 79) to earn two 2nd places from CARA (Chicago Area Running Association). This past year of 2015, Nick’s efforts were again rewarded, this time with a 1st place trophy from CARA.
For the past three years, Terry Hora, long-time member and past president of the StingRays Swim Club, has continued his own initiated FREE “Learn to Swim Program” here at Sun City. This past June saw 20 residents of varying skill levels participate in Prairie Lodge’s indoor pool on all or any of the month’s five Wednesdays.

Grant Fritz (20), a long-distance triathlete of St. Charles, son of Gary Fritz, Sun City resident neighborhood 35, competed in Ironman Coeur d’Alene in Idaho on August 21.
The 2016 Summer Olympics are over, but the thrill of competition is alive and well in the Sun City Bocce Ball Club.
