Our very own Stingrays’ Swim Club member, Mark Schark, recently took top honors in his 55-59 Men’s age group at the Illinois State Masters’ Swim Meet.

It seems so long ago artisans decided to build a new church a cathedral a home for God, a castle fit for a King, a King of Kings. A place to come to pray, be baptized, and get married and yes a couple to be crowned as King and Queen.

You’ll welcome trick-or-treating children from nearby schools and neighborhoods, as well as the grandkids of Sun City residents. Ring the bell! We have candy and snacks for you. Or, maybe, homemade cookies or bags of freshly popped popcorn for every super hero, princess or scary ghost that comes calling.

We need as many Huntley residents to attend this meeting as possible. This important meeting is regarding a proposed project for the Old School Site located on the northwest corner of IL Route 47 and Mill Street. A portion of the land also borders Main Street.

On Sunday, July 8, Sun City resident TR Kerth held a memorial for his wife, Gail, who passed away from a massive stroke on Valentine’s Day this February. The “Gathering in Gail’s Garden” was for friends, neighbors, and family to visit the beautiful garden she loved so much and to take home with them a plant, bulb, cutting, seeds, etc… to plant in their own garden to remember her by.
The Chain-O-Lakes Eagles RC Club of McHenry Illinois sponsored a special day for the Chicago based Wounded Warriors Project on Saturday June 16. Members of the Eagles pooled their resources and time to create a day of fun and enjoyment for the Wounded Warriors and their families.
The Guy’s Breakfast Club from Neighborhood 4 recently gathered at Joe and Jo Ann Santercier’s home to celebrate Evan Ypsilantis’ 98th birthday. Evan was born on June 28, 1920. He served in the United States Army in the Aleutian Islands and in the Philippians during WWll. Ypsilantis was on leave and visiting friends when he met Matina, his beautiful wife.

On Saturday, March 24, 2018, approximately 200 people from Huntley gathered at Deickie Park to March For Our Lives. They came together to March, chant, carrying signs they made and converse with each other about Gun reform. There were students from our Huntley High who spoke. Teachers spoke. Those whose lives have been touched by gun violence spoke.
